1977 Chevrolet G20 Van
We found this 77 “shorty” van sitting in the owner’s garage for over 30 years. The van was put away with plans for a long trip that never happened due to owners’ health.
When we picked it up it needed the usual work after sitting for years including all new fuel system, most of the brake system is new, new tires and complete tune up.
The Van runs and drives like it never left the road 30 years ago with its powerful 350 cubic inch V8, mounted to the turbo-hydramatic 3-speed transmission. We believe that the mileage shown of 87,000 is authentic.
The factory sent this loaded van to Winnebago for full custom which is evidenced by the Winnebago sticker on the door post, porthole windows, two artists airbrush work on the van that are signed and in excellent condition.
The van wears its original paint and is rock solid with minor rust in the lower part of a couple lower body panels which is an easy fix.
This fully optioned van has power steering, power disc brakes, cruise control, air conditioning and towing package. All safety features work properly.
We did not attempt to recharge the a/c or reactivate the cruise control mechanism, but everything is there intact.
We left the van’s interior as we found it all decked out in red, white and blue shag, velour upholstery, mirrors on the ceiling and non-functioning refrigerator for the nostalgia of the era.
The van has solid floors and would be an easy update project if that is what the new owner prefers. Some of the photos show the van with the era-popular aluminum turbo wheels on raised letter tires that we saved if someone prefers that 70’s look.
We have this ready-to-love van for sale at $15,500.
