1965 Ford Mustang GT convertible

There just aren’t any vintage cars that are more popular or more fun to drive than the Ford Mustangs. No matter the year, body style, or engine option, there are thousands of fans for these vehicles.

SMG just acquired a magnificent example of Mustang heritage from a family that owned the car for nearly 40 years—a beautiful and highly sought after 1965 Mustang GT convertible. This car is a true GT, with all the GT performance options, including disc brakes, quick ratio power steering, and a heavy-duty sway bar. Luxury options include the pony interior, rally pack gauges, C-4 automatic transmission, dual trumpet exhaust, Mustang cassette player, and power top.

The GT’s had various engine options and this silver-blue beauty is an A-code car with the potent 225 horse, 4 bbl motor with dual exhausts. This pony muscle car is as solid as you can find with near perfect floor pans, rockers, frame, and sheet-metal—all rust free.

Mechanically, this GT is excellent with the installation of all new brakes and recent oil and lube service. Although the convertible top, body, and paint were very good, we just gave this convertible a high quality repaint.

Price for this summer cruiser is $39,500.
