The last year of the most popular Hudson is the 1954 Club Coupe. This Hornet has been in
the family for over 40 years and comes with a fantastic, but unverified story told by John
Soneff.
This Hornet Special Was supposedly a gift to famous Nascar Racer, Marshall
Teague. Teague was the most successful Nascar driver in History at the time and had a
wonderful partnership with Hudson.
In 1953 Teague had a fallout with Hudson
Management but still continue to drive the Hornet in Nascar. Teague won one of the big
races with his Fabulous Hornet and Hudson, as an olive branch offering, gave Teague this
Hornet Special.
Teague supposedly sold it to a distant relative that eventually sold it to
John many years ago.
This is a fantastic car with some great features including Power Steering, 3 speed manual
with Overdrive, wire wheels and completely original interior.
The car appears to have been
repainted or partially painted at sometime, but the repaint was clearly on a very nice body.
This Hudson Hornet, runs and drives like a dream.
