1969 Plymouth Barracuda Notchback
Finally, nearing completion on this extremely rare and desirable 1969 Plymouth Barracuda 340 Coupe. This beauty has an interesting past as it was discovered being used as a piece of art in an outdoor art gallery in California. Several cars were just on display out in the open air lined up against nature as if they were just another tree or rock. Since all the fluids had been drained from the cars to protect the environment that policy had a mutual benefit to the car’s preservation.
This particular Cuda was found in complete original condition with matching number and correct engine, transmission, differential. The factory fender tag was in place and was decoded to show some very unusual codes.
This car has a unique special deluxe bucket seat yellow interior package. It also has a delete Vinyl top code, but also has a code that the car came with a vinyl top. The delete code trumps the V1T code apparently.
The drive train has been completely overhauled. The powerful 340 engine has been bored .30, has a new completely balanced assembly with standard size crank and forged pistons. The power flows through a new stock exhaust system with the rumble that accentuates the power of this very strong 340. The paint quality is very good over a rust free California body.
Just a few minor thing to complete such as attaching all the badges and trim. Priced significantly below restoration cost at $44,500.
